Meet Your Adventure Elopement Photographer
Hiker// Dog Mom// Adventurer// Food & Beer Enthusiast// Road Tripper
I truly believe that life is an adventure and I strive to live that belief every day. I am a HUGE outdoor enthusiast and advocate! I'm happiest when I'm hiking with my dog, Ranger, exploring new, wild places. I grew up traveling and camping with my family all across the United States, sparking my passion for the outdoors, adventure, and travel. I love spontaneous road trips and would rather eat a local brewery than a five-star restaurant. One of my favorite hobbies is scouring Washington Trails Association and Google Maps for new places to explore. If I'm not adventuring outside, you can find me binge watching The Office for the millionth time eating Ben & Jerry's.
I grew up and spent most of my life in Arizona and am now currently living in Washington. While I love the desert and miss it very much, moving to Washington was hands down the best thing I've ever done in my life. A spontaneous decision made on a road trip to Colorado, my husband & I uprooted our lives in the Southwest and moved to Washington. I've always felt at home in the mountains, and now I'm lucky enough to live by many of them.
I became an elopement photographer to pursue my biggest passions in life- spending more time outdoors and photographing couples on the day they get married. I truly believe that adventure elopements are the best way to get married. Elopements are centered on experiences, rather than things. Elopements bring the focus back on what matters the most- two people exchanging their vows and having the best day of their lives! Everyone deserves to get married the way they want to, however that may be.
My favorite thing about this job? It is SO much more than the photos. It's the people- the relationships we build and the experiences we have together. It's experiencing epic places with new friends, and witnessing two people commit their lives to each other. One of my favorite things in the world is getting to adventure with a couple in an beautiful place and document them getting married. It is such an honor to be a part of an elopement day, and a responsibility I don't take lightly. I promise not only to take beautiful photos, but I will capture your wedding day in an authentic way that showcases your relationship and personalities.
When you work with me, I'm not just your photographer. I'm your new friend, adventure buddy, elopement guide, and practically your planner. I'll help you every step along the way, giving you advice and tons of planning guidance. I'll help you find your dream elopement spot by sending you customized location scouting lists made just for you. I'll also help you acquire any permits needed for your elopement day, give you vendor recommendations, and anything else you may need.

What's it like to work with me?
"I cannot gush enough about Kathleen or our incredible photos. Even from the beginning she exceeded every expectation. I figured planning & coordination would be at least a little bit stressful, but she was professional, easy to get ahold of, prompt and made everything simple. We decided to fly up in a tiny plane to Sedona (my husband John is a pilot so this was extra special to incorporate flying somehow).
John and I aren't natural models, but Kathleen made things so fun and we felt relaxed & comfortable in front of the camera. It was incredible to have her as a part of our little adventure. She allowed us to focus on each other and just enjoy the moment, capturing us at our absolute happiest. I felt like a princess and my husband, who usually hates pictures, was having the time of his life. Kathleen directed us just enough so it didn't feel awkward, but kept things natural and candid. She knew all the best spots and took the time to make sure every shot was flattering on us & featured the lovely red rock landscape. When the sun started going down, she had the thought to capture a few pictures of just us & the stars. *Swoon*
I've never experienced anything so personal and I've never been so happy with photos before. Our gallery came quick and the pictures were beyond what I could've hoped for. There wasn't a single one I wasn't in total awe of. We are so grateful Kathleen was with us for this moment of ours and hope to book her for any future adventures life may bring 💕" -Aubrey and John
