Amanda & Roe are the very definition of an adventurous couple. They are so much fun to be around and anyone who meets them not only loves them but can see that they are no doubt meant to be with one another. They've had countless fun & exciting adventures and have so many stories to tell from their 8.5 years together.

Since one of the foundations of their relationship is adventure, it only made sense for them to have an adventure on their wedding day, and for their closest friends & family to be there with them. Not only is it obvious how much Amanda & Roe love one another, the love between them and every one who traveled to Moab to support them on their elopement day was so evident as well.

Their elopement was on a beautifully sunny day in May in the desert of Moab- much unlike their day to day life in New York. There's just something so magical and wild about Moab that is appealing for people like Amanda & Roe (and me!). Wide open spaces, towering arches, vast canyons, sheer cliffs, and breathtaking sunrises & sunsets make Moab the perfect place to elope.

They started the day getting ready in the Moab Valley Inn with their friends & family. The hotel had the sweetest welcome sign on the street for them! Every time I drove through Moab that week seeing it made me grin.

Having a first look was one of the aspects of their elopement that was really important to them, and it was honestly one of the most emotional, moving first looks I've had the honor of witnessing. Between Roe's tears, their incredible love for each other, and the beautiful scenery at Dead Horse Point State Park, everything was perfect. Even the small crowd of hikers cheering for them in the background.

We then explored above the canyon, scrambling over boulders and admiring the views over the cliffs, where they got to spend time with one another before their ceremony just the two of them and take in all of the jaw-dropping views. They invited their closest family & friends to be a part of their wedding day, and it couldn't have been more perfect! (I love when couples choose to invite just their very closest loved ones. That way they can spend very intentional quality time with everyone they invite vs. a limited amount like they may get at a bigger event).

After a beautiful, very emotional ceremony officiated by one of their closest friends, we went to the Red Earth Venue for their sunset reception to celebrate! They had incredibly delicious foods & drinks catered by Cloth & Flame (and one hell of a party!).

Every time I think back to Amanda & Roe's elopement day, my heart fills with happiness and I'm reminded of what a wonderful and fun day it was. It was one of those days that makes this job the best job in the world. It's why I love being a storyteller, and it's a day I'll never forget.

Kind Words From the Couple:

"My wife and I married in Moab, Utah, in May of 2022. Kathleen assisted us with finding a reception area and reminded us to apply for permits. She helped coordinate several aspects of my wedding and maintained constant contact with me and all the vendors. She was always one step ahead of the game. She is not only a fantastic photographer but also an event planner.

As you know, weddings can be stressful, and Kathleen took time out of her day to reassure us that everything was going to be perfect. When we arrived in Moab, Kathleen went to the ceremony location in advance to map everything out and preplan our gorgeous photos. Kathleen even surprised us with a second photographer to help make sure we stayed on schedule and didn't feel overwhelmed. Kathleen is fantastic, and I couldn't imagine booking with anyone else! She made my wedding day stress free and enjoyable. She managed to capture our raw emotions and gave us an album of breathtaking photos."
